Elcomsoft System Recovery and Advanced Office Password Recovery updated

Elcomsoft Advanced Office Password Recovery 7.21 and Elcomsoft System Recovery 8.32 receive maintenance and bugfix updates. Elcomsoft System Recovery update resolves a SAM backup issue and adds the ability to specify compression level when creating E01 disk images, while Advanced Office Password Recovery gets support for the latest build of OneNote for Office 365 and brings GPU acceleration support for Intel ARC boards.

We updated two password recovery tools, adding support for the latest OneNote for Office 365 in Advanced Office Password Recovery and fixing a SAM backup issue in Elcomsoft System Recovery. In addition, Elcomsoft System Recovery adds the ability to specify compression level when creating E01 disk images, while Advanced Office Password Recovery receives GPU acceleration support on Intel ARC boards.

Intel ARC support in Advanced Office Password Recovery

Over the years, Intel has offered a range of integrated graphics solutions, with a recent foray into a dedicated GPU market with XE-based Intel ARC boards. Intel’s XE-based discrete GPUs, such as the Intel Arc graphics cards, exhibit a remarkable difference in performance compared to the company’s built-in graphics found in Intel Core processors. While the integrated GPUs typically provide password recovery speeds that are two to three times faster than the Intel CPU they are integrated with, the dedicated graphics cards from Intel offer significantly higher performance. In fact, Intel Arc graphics cards can be directly compared to mid-range NVIDIA RTX boards of the previous generation, trailing the NVIDIA boards in sheer performance but surpassing them in terms of price-performance ratio.

In this release, Advanced Office Password Recovery receives an update adding GPU acceleration support on Intel ARC boards.
